JESUS WILL RETURN BEFORE THE TWO WITNESS’S BEGIN THEIR 42 MONTHS OF PROPHECY

John in the 4th chapter of revelation records events that were to take place in the end days. It seems as though John may have been projected into the future to actually see the events as they were happening. He seems to be seeing both the things happening in heaven the opening of the seven seals and AFTER THE SIXTH SEAL also sees the things happening on earth with the Seven Trumpet Judgments.

To better understand don’t just look at the events as something that was taking place in heaven when John was taken to heaven, but look upon these events John saw as the actual event taking place upon the earth at a time way into the future when the events actually take place, at the time of this generation is living on planet earth.

John gives us a brief description of the throne of God in heaven and how it operates.

Revelation 4:
1. After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.
2. And immediately I was in the Spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

LIGHTNINGS AND THUDERINGS AND VOICES

Take special notice of the phrase lightnings and thunderings and voices. And there were seven lamps burning with fire before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

I want to point out that out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices. This is a precept that we will be following to gain clues as to if the Lord signals to the people of this earth that the Lord is coming when we are able to see the signs of lightnings and thunderings and voices.

SEVEN LAMPS OF FIRE BURNING BEFORE THE THRONE WHICH ARE THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD. SO WE SEE THIS IS THE BRANCH OF THE LORD DESCRIBED IN ISAIAH 11: 1-5. THE INTERNATIONAL BRANCH OF THE LION OF JUDAH.

The seven lamps burning with fire before the throne shows a picture and the position of the BRANCH described in Isaiah 11:1-5. The people of this generation who are going to fulfill the prophecy by coming into total unity and total submission to the head of the Body Jesus Christ so that he can manifest his power and his authority through his perfectly submissive body without spot or wrinkle.

THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD MANIFESTING THEMSELVES IN THE INTEGRITY AND PERSONALITY OF GOD’S BRANCH.

We are the vessels of God and God sends his seven spirits out to the world through us. The seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth is God’s Army his Branch described below with the seven spirits: (Isaiah 11:1-5)
1. The spirit of righteousness
2. The spirit of wisdom
3. The spirit of understanding
4. The spirit of counsel
5. The spirit of might
6. The spirit of knowledge
7. The spirit of judgment

JESUS FOUND WORTHY TO OPEN THE SEVEN SEALS

John sees in the hand of him sitting upon the throne, the book containing the 7 seals.

Revelation
5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

The sealed book is the book of cleansing and judgment to save humanity and bring forth the coming of the Lord in the sixth seal.

5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
5:3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 5:4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

JESUS THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH

It does not appear that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah is the one sitting on the throne. Jesus said that he was to sit at the right hand of the father and that seems to be the position where the Lion of the Tribe of Judah is found after searching.

Notice that it is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and not the one sitting on the throne that is worthy to open the book of seals. He is able to do this in the presence of the ones sitting on the throne, because he is the one who redeemed the people of the earth through his sacrifice of himself as the Lamb of God.

THE SIXTH SEAL

Revelation 6:
12: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13: And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14: And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

THE REASON FOR THE KINGS AND GREAT MEN HIDING FROM THE FACE OF HIM THAT SITTETH ON THE THRONE IS BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THE LORD IS HERE ON EARTH SITTING ON HIS THRONE HERE ON EARTH.

15: And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

THE SIXTH SEAL
6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

A STATEMENT OF WHAT HAS BEEN REVEALED TO ME ABOUT THE PROPHETIC TIME TABLE

I will state the following based upon revelation given to me as to understanding the prophetic time table. I have explained how this was revealed by the dates given to me and then applying this to scripture precept upon precept. The sequence of events of the Sixth Seal overlaps the time of the Seven Trumpet Judgments that take place as part of the Seventh Seal. The Sixth Seal ends on August 11, 2010 and the Seventh seal ends six months later on February 11, 2011.

THE SIXTH SEAL
6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

The Sixth Seal began on October 10, 1986 and continued 6 months, then it had a gap of 20 years 10 months and 1 day for the half hour of silence in heaven which will end on February 11, 2008. The sixth seal still has 36 months remaining and will end on February 11, 2011.

On October 10, 1986 the Lamb of God opened this sixth seal.
At this point I want to say the Lord has revealed some things to me about this, and I am drawing a few conclusions that seem right to me. This is a statement of my present understanding.

On January 15, 2000, the Lord spoke this to me after a conversation about a possible clue in scripture as to the coming of the Lord:

THE ACTUAL WORDS THE LORD SPOKE TO ME 1-15-2000

“Yea, I have been present with you and also abiding in you. The various quotations were of me as you spoke with a listening ear. You have been marvelous before the Kingdom of heaven, and they are shouting for joy. The Kingdom is in great celebration of what you have revealed. You have revealed the early entry into the Kingdom tonight without knowing it. You stated that the Kingdom of God may happen at the sixth seal before the seven trumpets and the rest of the seven bowl judgments of the tribulation”.

“What a surprise it was when My people heard these words. They recognized My word speak through you and knew that it was true. I have spoken these words through you that you were not aware of. They have shocked both kingdoms, Satan's kingdom with fear, and the Kingdom of Heaven with joy”.

“You are asking, How will I be able to tell the body of Christ. The answer is - don't. Don't speak this to anyone”.

“But write it out in your book, and I will put the pieces together for you. My words have been spoken, and they are truth and they are life”.

My Statement of present understanding

The sun becomes more than black - it disappears - and the earth becomes black. It no longer rotates around the sun. The sun no longer exists. The planets in the solar system change there orbits, and are rolled up like a scroll into a fairly tight ring of circles with each one having a new orbit around the earth. The earth has now become the center of the universe, because the Son of God has come to dwell upon the earth and we have the new heavens and the new earth.

The sixth seal is the return of Christ.

Nobody knew the day nor the hour of the Lords return, when Jesus spoke these words. I don't believe anyone knows the day, nor the hour today. But the Lord says that we are to know the season. The statements I am going to make here narrow’s the season.

The Sixth Seal began on October 10, 1986 and continued 6 months, then it had a gap of 20 years 10 months and 1 day for the half hour of silence in heaven which will end on February 11, 2008. The sixth seal still has 36 months remaining and will end on February 11, 2011.


WHAT SCRIPTUAL EVIDENCE DO WE HAVE THAT THE EVENTS AFTER THE SIXTH SEAL INDICATE THAT THE LORD IS ON THE EARTH?

If we are right that the Lord returns on the sixth seal we should be able to see some evidence of this from the scripture.

THE PEOPLE ON THE EARTH ARE HIDING FROM HIS FACE BECAUSE OF HIS PERSONAL PRESENCE HERE ON THE EARTH.

Look at
Revelation 6:
15: And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

When the rich men hide in caves the King James version of the Bibles states that the kings and wealthy people of the earth say to the rocks , Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Revelation 6:16: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Today many of the elite say thee is no god and declare themselves to be atheists. So there is something very dramatic and spectacular that takes place on earth to cause these people to want the rocks fall on them to hide from the face of the Lamb of God.

What could be happening? It is because the son of God, Jesus Christ is sitting on his throne, now on the earth. The Father was the one sitting on the throne in the heavenly position, and Jesus sat at his right hand. Before this Jesus is at the right hand of the father in heaven. So what does it means that Jesus is sitting on his throne? I will state as a statement of my understanding that I believe it is because Jesus has returned to this earth and has begun to set up his kingdom. It seems to me that this happens before any of these end time events.

JESUS IS ON THE EARTH BEFORE THE TWO WITNESS’S BEGIN THERE 42 MONTH PERIOD OF PROPHECYING FROM JERUSALEM.

JESUS IS ON THE EARTH BEFORE THE TRUMPET JUDGMENTS, SO IF ACCORDING TO THESSALONIANS THE RAPTURE IS AT THE LAST TRUMP HE IS ON THE EARTH BEFORE ANY RAPTURE.

IT APPEARS THAT JESUS IS ON THE EARTH BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE BUILDING OF HIS TEMPLE.

1. Before the two witness’s prophecy for 42 months
2. Before any type of Rapture
3. Before the Temple is built upon the Temple mount in Jerusalem
4. Before the Trumpet judgments begin.
5. Before the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39 where many nations lead by Russia and Iran attempt to invade the land of Israel.

Notice that the Revelation 6:6 states that the rich people and the kings of the earth are wanting to hide from the Lamb sitting on the Throne.

Notice also that the two witness’s stand before the God of the earth in Revelation 11:4, and notice that this is a capital G for God so it does not represent the anti-christ, but represents the Godhead where the Lord takes his proper position given to him by the Father.

We see that Jesus as God is sitting on the throne here on earth and we should be able to see that this is confirmed by the wording of the two witness’s. Lets look at the old testament.

Zechariah 4:
9: The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.
10: For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
11: Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12: And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13: And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
14: Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.

AGAIN WE SEE THE WORDING: That stand by the Lord of the whole earth



THE TWO WITNESS’S STAND BEFORE THE GOD OF THE EARTH AND NOT BEFORE THE GOD OF HEAVEN. SO TO ME THIS INDICATES THAT HIS THRONE IS NOW ON EARTH.

So for the two witness’s to stand before the God of this earth would mean that God was on this earth.

4: These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

When and how does the Lord return to earth?

The Lord returns during the time of the sixth seal.

Revelation 6:
12: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13: And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14: And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15: And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Over the last several weeks the Holy Spirit has been bringing to my mind that this sentence. “These are my two witness’s that stand before the Lord of the whole earth”.
So as of April 25, 2008 this has become clearer in my mind and seems to be in alignment with everything that has previously been revealed that I have written about.


A few other scriptures with the same type of wording also seem to fit into this prophetic picture.


Micah 4:
13: Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
THE WORK OF ESTABLISHING THE KINGDOM OF GOD ON THIS EARTH IS DESCRIBED IN THIS CHAPTER

Isaiah 60:
1: Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2: For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3: And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4: Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
5: Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
6: The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
7: All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
8: Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
9: Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
10: And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
11: Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
12: For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
13: The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
14: The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15: Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
16: Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
17: For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.
18: Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
19: The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
20: Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
21: Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
22: A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.


COME LET US GO UP TO THE MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD TO THE HOUSE OF GOD.

Isaiah 2:
1: the word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2: And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3: And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4: And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5: O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
6: Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
7: Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
8: Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
9: And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
10: Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
11: The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
12: For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
13: And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
14: And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
15: And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
16: And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
17: And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
18: And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
19: And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
20: In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
21: To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
22: Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

ISAIAH’S VIEW OF THE EVENTS DESCRIBED IN REVELATION

Isaiah 10:
1: Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
2: To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
3: And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
4: Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
5: O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
6: I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7: Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
8: For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?
9: Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
10: As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
11: Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
12: Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
13: For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
14: And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
15: Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
16: Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
17: And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
18: And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.
19: And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
20: And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21: The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
22: For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
23: For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
24: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
25: For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
26: And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
27: And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
28: He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
29: They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
30: Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
31: Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.
32: As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33: Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
34: And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

THE BIRTHING OF THE BRANCH

Isaiah 66:
1: Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2: For all those things hath mine hand made, and those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
3: He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4: I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
5: Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
6: A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
7: Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8: Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9: Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
10: Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
11: That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
12: For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13: As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14: And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
15: For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16: For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17: They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
18: For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
19: And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
20: And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21: And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
22: For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23: And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24: And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
